The Turkmen Representative and the decision maker of the Iraqi parliament, confirmed
on Monday the rejection of the Federal Court, the appeal, filed by the representatives
regarding the decision of the parliament which requires the candidate to obtain a
bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Mimar Oglu, confirmed “today 2018-01-29 representatives’ signatures collection, were
completed, to draft an amendment to the decision of the Iraqi parliament, which includes
the allocating 20% of the seats for the candidates who hold High School diploma or
certificate, in the electoral lists. Parliament blocks have accepted the proposal.
The proposal was submitted to the legal committee to draft the submitted amendment,
and it is hoped that parliament on Wednesday 2018-01-31 read the first and second on
Thursday to be voted on Saturday
