A member of the legal committee in the Iraqi parliament for the Turkmen Front Hassan
Turan asked to include the provincial elections council law No. 36 of 2008 to vote for,
and overcome the differences concerning Kirkuk.
He told Shafaq news “The law has settled all its disputed articles except the one point of
dispute related to Kerkuk, consisting of paragraphs 37 and 52 regarding the voters’
registration and the future of the province of Kirkuk”.
And he called to submit the issue as it is to the House of Representatives to resolve it
during a session. And clarified “There is no real dialogue between the blocs, and we
submitted some ideas to the Kurdish brothers and they were not convinced with any of
the options.”
